Hi Andrew:
PLC-Training.org does not deliver the courses, only recommended certain ones that qualify from 3rd parties (at the bottom of each learning phase page).
So
first thing to understand is there is not just one course that covers all 10 learning phases.
Second thing to understand is that since courses are offered by others, their prices could change (vendor could offer bundle discounts if you were to order multiple courses from them, etc.), so we cannot list total price for all recommended courses by all vendors.
You have to click on the link on the bottom of the page to each recommended course and get the current price for that particular course.
For example, if you wanted to start with phase one, the “prerequisite”, at the bottom of the page it recommends …
Industrial electrical Training Video Course (following link shows that course is $2997.00)
Electrical Troubleshooting Training Course (following link shows that course is $89.00)
Then at bottom of phase two page, the “PLC Foundation”, at the bottom of the page it recommends …
Instructor based PLC Training Seminar (the following link shows that course is $1450.00 + whatever your travel cost would be, from where ever you live.)
Then at the bottom of the phase three page, the “Scholastic education”, at the bottom of the page, it recommends …
PLC Training Video Course (following link shows that course is $2289.00)
Etc. Etc.
Then if you were going to do all the course, like the PLC and the PAC (RSLogix 5000), etc. when you explore the links above and explorer each vendor’s website, you will see that vendor offers a
Technician’s Dream Bundle which includes many of the courses we recommended at a
36% discount, because customer wants to buy all courses in bundle at one time.
So you can see, a person may feel they can skip the industrial electrical training video course because they are already an industrial electrician. That would change the total for all courses. They may choose a bundle discount from a vendor that would change total once again. They may not be able to travel to a seminar, so opt to purchase PLC training equipment to get hands-on after taking a software certificate course, so the price would change again. Etc. etc.
One thing I will note for you, after initial phases where expensive video courses and travel for hands-on are, subsequent course prices drop dramatically. Like to $150 range. For example PLC basics with simulator cd set $159, PAC $199, device network $119, Cable and drivers $24.99, Fieldbus network $499.00, PAC Structured Text $99, PID Tuning $197, HMI $169, SCADA $99, OPC for SCADA $199, etc. Also, one might choose a course on a particular topic by another vendor which would be much more expensive, which would change total for all courses yet again.
Thank you for your consideration, hope you tell others about our website.
Joseph
