Technical Lead - Process Automation OEM
This Process Automation OEM serves the food industry.
Looking for Technical Lead-Process Automation to join the Management Team of our Automation and Technical Commissioning Group. As the Technical Lead – Process Automation, we will rely on you to provide technical leadership and support to the Process Automation engineering teams in the design, testing, and commissioning of industrial electrical and process automation systems, with an emphasis on advanced systems such as MES functionality.
YOUR TASKS
Provides technical direction to develop and implement System Integrator level control systems
Provides advanced skillset including Microsoft Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Reporting Services, Data Collection, Advanced Network Setup and Configuration
Provides MES application support to the process automation project teams
Advances existing software and hardware standards
Develops tools/methods to increase software development efficiency
Trains and mentors process automation engineers to ensure that they understand and adhere to Company and Department procedures and standards
Builds and maintains a spirit of teamwork and cooperation within the automation group
Assists directly on projects where needed to support project requirements
Works with the Senior Manager to fully understand the department standards and to implement those concepts in the control systems
Coordinates with the APC’s to ensure the process control system will meet their requirements
Designs and tests software applications by applying knowledge of computer programs, systems, and networks and/or by supervising and coordinating the design done by the team and subcontractors
Contributes to team effort by completing non-project related tasks as assigned
Assists the Senior Manager with pre-contract activities by performing technical evaluations and by preparing conceptual layouts, cost estimates and presentations for proposed control systems
Maintains product and company reputation by utilizing established equipment, procedures, and designs, and complying with federal, state and local regulations
Qualifications:
This position demands a well-organized team player who possess the following skills and experiences:
4-year degree in Engineering (Electrical Preferred), Computer Science or related
5+ years of experience in process controls technology or related industry
Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and have proven analytical skills
Must possess good English language communication skills both verbal and written skills
Must possess good interpersonal skills and work well in a team setting as well as independently as required
Must be able and willing to travel (up to 25% of the time, some internationally)
